Primary Location NSW - Rockdale Job Description SummaryThe ConnectSydney team are searching for a talented and enthusiastic Solutions Developer to join us at our Rockdale office!
About the Role ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW (TfNSW), is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone.
Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure.
The Solutions Developer – Power Platform & Data Integration role designs, builds, and supports digital solutions that improve how ConnectSydney plans, delivers, and reports on its work.
Working across the Microsoft Power Platform and related data technologies, the position translates business needs into practical, supportable systems.
The position sits within the PMO and works closely with project, operational, and technology stakeholders across ConnectSydney, its joint venture partners, and the wider business.
It suits someone who enjoys working end to end: understanding a business problem, designing a solution, building it, and supporting it in use.Key Responsibilities:Design, build, and maintain business applications and workflows using the Microsoft Power Platform.Configure and implement project and work management tooling that supports consistent delivery practices across the business.Develop and maintain data models, including structure, relationships, and security roles.Deliver system migrations, including data mapping, validation, and quality assurance.Produce explicit solution documentation, configuration guides,
and support materials.Provide support to users, including training assistance, troubleshooting, and post-deployment hypercare.Build and maintain integrations between business systems, including data extraction, transformation, and automated data flows.Prepare and document data interfaces shared with clients, partners, and third party providers.Apply sound engineering practices, including version control, testing, and documented change.Support the piloting, rollout, and ongoing improvement of new systems and capabilities.About You:Demonstrated experience designing and delivering solutions using: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) Python, SQL, or similar languages for data processing and automationMicrosoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint and project management toolingExperience delivering system migrations or data quality improvementUnderstanding of governance, security roles, and data controlsExperience working within multi-stakeholder environmentsSound data modelling and systems integration skills, including the discipline to verify how systems are configured rather than assumeAbility to design and build solutions that are practical, scalable, and maintainableFamiliarity with cloud services, version control,
