Division/Section:Infrastructure and Operations - Water
Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 38 hours/week)
Salary Range: $124,100 - $149,800 per annum + super based on skills and qualifications

Join Council in a key leadership role responsible for coordinating the safe, reliable and productive operation of our water network.
You will lead a team of Team Leaders who oversee the delivery of water network operations, maintenance activities, emergency response and capital works.
Working across a diverse portfolio of water assets and infrastructure, you will ensure services are delivered in accordance with legislative, environmental and customer service requirements while supporting the protection of public health and the environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced operational leader who excels at developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
You will provide direction, coaching and support to Team Leaders, helping them effectively manage field crews, resources and daily work programs.
Through strong leadership and mentoring, you will drive a positive culture focused on safety, accountability, customer service and continuous improvement, ensuring teams are engaged, well-trained and equipped to consistently deliver quality outcomes for the community.
As Coordinator Water Networks, you will oversee delivery of water network services, workforce planning, resource allocation, operational performance and the delivery of designated capital projects.
You will work closely with Team Leaders to prioritise planned and reactive works, manage operational risks, respond to customer and network issues, and minimise disruptions to water services.
Your ability to provide sound professional advice, make informed decisions during emergency situations,
and lead through influence will be critical to maintaining service standards and achieving operational objectives across the Water Networks team.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.A current "C" Class Driver Licence.Construction Industry White Card ****** QLD).
RPEQ registration, or the ability to obtain registration.Extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, construction and management of water infrastructure networks.Proven leadership experience managing technical, operational and professional teams.Strong project management skills, with experience delivering operational and capital works programs.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, workforce planning and operational performance.Experience interpreting engineering challenges and developing practical, sustainable solutions.A commitment to fostering a positive safety culture and ensuring legislative compliance.Certificate IV in Water Industry Operations, or the ability to obtain within two years of commencement.
