You will enact suitable supervisory measures to ensure exemplary social work and case management practices and standards are upheld.

Seize this vital leadership opportunity, as you elevate your mentorship capabilities and further your DCP career ambitions.This is a single vacancy offered under a dual classification, meaning it may be filled by either an experienced, qualified Social Worker (AHP3) or Professional Officer (PO3) depending on the qualification and suitability of the successful applicant.Essential Qualifications:AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)PO (Professional Officer) positions require relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or other related fields.Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
In this role,
you will:Integrate culturally appropriate intervention methods and frameworks to uphold high-level care practicesManage the development of services that will positively affect diverse clienteleProvide effective leadership that guides staff through complex conflict resolution scenariosEstablish robust partnerships and consult with relevant stakeholders to fulfill business needsGenerate high-level written documentation to maintain accurate reporting processes.About you:You can confidently lead a dedicated team to fulfill organisational goals and advance their workplace competenciesYou possess excellent written and verbal communication skills when formulating reportsYou can enact suitable conflict resolution strategies to handle complex issuesYou have phenomenal written and verbal communication skills when providing professional advice to stakeholdersYou promote a safe and inclusive work environment for optimal staff development.Salary:AHP3: $112,139 - $120,284 p.a. + 12% super+4% child protection allowance+regional financial incentive+Professional Development Allowance - entitlement to claim reimbursement of eligible career development expenses+Qualification Allowance may apply if you hold an additional qualification relevant to the role.PO3: $111,870 - $119,994 p.a. + 12% super+additional child protection allowance.Special ConditionsYou must have a current Australian driver's licence (P2 or above) and a willingness to drive is essential.The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia.
