This role is ideal for a hands‐on leader who enjoys being on site while also managing key project coordination tasks.
You will be responsible for overseeing 1–2 fit out or construction projects at a time, with values ranging from $250K to $5M.Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and Project Director, the Site Manager will lead all on‐site activities, driving safety, quality, and productivity across each project.
This hands‐on role blends robust site leadership with project coordination to ensure successful delivery within programme and budget.Key ResponsibilitiesSite-Based Responsibilities:Manage daily site operations, subcontractors, and tradesEnsure WHS compliance, site inductions, and safety documentationCoordinate deliveries, materials, and site logisticsConduct quality inspections and ensure works meet drawings and specificationsMaintain site cleanliness, productivity, and programme targetsLiaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders on siteProject & Office-Based Responsibilities:Deliver projects in accordance with the approved construction programmePrepare and update construction programmes and provide weekly progress reports to the line ManagerManage and supervise site teams and subcontractors,



reporting directly to the line managerReview and assess subcontractor and supplier progress claims for accuracy and complianceAssess subcontractor variations and cost changes, assisting with cost controlOversee WHS/OHS compliance across all sites, ensuring a safe and compliant work environmentImplement and maintain site‐specific safety plans and proceduresImplement and enforce quality control processes to ensure works meet contractual requirementsInspect subcontractor works and materials to ensure compliance with tender and construction documentationIdentify, manage, and resolve site‐based construction issues proactivelyAssist with project planning, scheduling, and procurement activitiesCoordinate subcontractor engagement and construction sequencingReview drawings and scopes to prevent and resolve construction issuesMaintain accurate site records, documentation, and reportingSupport the preparation of progress claims and Operations & Maintenance manualsAbout YouEssential Experience & Skills:Trade background or tertiary qualification in Construction Management3+ years' experience as a Site Foreman, Manager, Senior Supervisor, or Project Manager preferably on commercial projectsStrong experience delivering hospitality, office, retail or fit out projectsSolid understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor managementConfident communicator with clients, consultants, and site teamsAbility to work autonomously and manage multiple prioritiesDemonstrated understanding of safety, health and environment best practice.Construction White CardValid driver's licence and own vehicleStrong knowledge of WHS and site complianceReliable, organised, and solutions‐focusedFlexible attitude and strong work ethicWhat We Offer:Secure, full-time role with a growing businessOpportunity to work on diverse, high‐quality projects across SydneySupportive team cultureCompetitive salary package of $110,00–$130,000, based on experience
