Hunter Recruitment Group is partnering with Kurri Kurri Community Services (KKCS) to find a motivated Grounds Crew Member to join their Hunter Commercial Services (HCS) team.
With a proud history of Connecting to Care, KKCS delivers services that strengthen people and communities across the Hunter.
HCS is KKCS's social enterprise, delivering professional grounds maintenance and commercial cleaning services across commercial and residential sites.
Importantly, 65% of the HCS workforce is recognised as having a disability, with employment creating opportunities for people to build skills, independence and meaningful careers.
About the Role
We're looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors, takes pride in a job well done and is comfortable working as part of a crew.This is initially a casual position, working 6:30am–1:30pm shifts, with availability across at least three days per week required.
There are no fixed working days, with hours based on operational and seasonal requirements.There are additional hours available to support current workforce arrangements, with the potential for hours to increase during busier seasonal periods.
For the right person, there's also opportunity for growth.
KKCS's longer term workforce planning includes the potential for this position to transition into permanent employment, with an opportunity to develop toward a future Grounds Supervisor.
What You'll Be Doing
Working under the guidance of the Grounds Maintenance team, your day could include:
Mowing, edging, trimming and maintaining lawns and outdoor areasSafely operating mowers, brush cutters and other grounds equipmentBasic gardening and general grounds maintenanceRaking, rubbish removal and maintaining clean, professional sitesCompleting equipment checks and basic maintenanceAssisting with the safe transport of equipment and crew as requiredIdentifying hazards and following WHS and site safety proceduresWorking alongside the crew to complete jobs safely,



efficiently and to a high standardCompleting required records and participating in toolbox meetings and training

Essential Requirements
Valid White CardCriminal Record Check less than three months old, or willingness to obtain one100 points of identificationAustralian Right to WorkMR Truck Licence is highly desirable
