Operating for almost 50 years and employing more than 1,300 staff around Australia, Mind is a leading employer of people with lived experience of mental health challenges, recognising their unique ability to connect with and motivate clients and guide recovery.About the ServiceThe Housing with Support program is a service designed for adults living with severe and enduring psychosocial disability and co-occurring concerns and/or dual disabilities which have impacted their capacity to live independently in the community.Participants are supported individually and in a group setting to better understand and develop strategies to manage the impacts of their mental health, enhance personal and daily living skills, create meaningful social and community connections, strengthen relationships with families and friends,
and build confidence and capacity to live independently.About the roleWe are seeking resourceful and cooperative Psychosocial Disability Support Workers for permanent part time (up to 30 hours per week), opportunities located in Traralgon.
You will deliver personalised support services and work collaboratively with participants to achieve their recovery and capacity building goals through one-to-one support, shared supports, workshops and group work facilitation to enhance recovery, personal growth and activities of daily living.Looking for additional hours?

Please indicate your preferred employment type (part-time or casual) in your cover letter.Key responsibilitiesWork with participants to imagine and live a meaningful life by supporting them through a staged approach to recoveryPlan and develop group work programs that will assist participants to build their skills, focus on their recovery, wellbeing and capacity buildingSupport family and carers through understanding their concerns and the provision of information,
