Set within a beautifully restored heritage building, Shell House brings together exceptional dining, vibrant bars and unforgettable guest experiences across multiple venues.About the RoleAs a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their entire experience from the moment they arrive.Working closely with the management and service teams, you will be responsible for creating a warm, professional and seamless guest journey while helping the restaurant and bar operations run smoothly.Your responsibilities will include:Warmly welcoming and farewelling guests with genuine hospitalityManaging reservations, table allocations and seating plansAssisting with waitlists, bookings and guest enquiriesCoordinating guest flow across the restaurant and bar areasMaintaining a strong knowledge of the venue, menus and current offeringsCommunicating effectively with floor staff, managers and other departmentsAssisting the team during busy service periodsSupporting the overall presentation and organisation of the host areaAnticipating guest needs and helping create memorable experiencesAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is confident, personable and genuinely passionate about hospitality.You will ideally have:Previous experience in a host,



reservations or front-of-house role within a quality restaurant, bar or hospitality venueExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA warm, confident and professional approachStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to remain calm and composed in a quick-paced environmentA natural ability to connect with guests and make them feel welcomeA strong understanding of premium service standardsThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a teamFlexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidaysExperience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems will be highly regarded.Why Join Shell House?
