Greenwell and Thomas Pharmacy – Katoomba NSWWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to join the team at Greenwell and Thomas Pharmacy in Katoomba, NSW.
This is a part-time position providing an opportunity to develop a diverse range of skills while making a meaningful contribution to our community pharmacy.
The role will also involve regular weekend work.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacist and ensuring our customers receive excellent service and care.
You will be responsible for assisting with the protected, accurate and effective distribution out of medications, managing inventory, and providing outstanding customer service to our diverse patient base.Key responsibilitiesReceiving and processing prescriptions from customers, ensuring accurate information is recordedManaging pharmacy stock and inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organising medications and health productsMaintaining accurate pharmacy records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirementsProviding friendly and professional customer service,



answering general enquiries about over-the-counter products and servicesMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised pharmacy environmentAssisting with the operation of pharmacy systems and point-of-sale equipmentWhat we are looking forA high school qualification or equivalentPrevious experience working in a pharmacy or retail environment is desirable but not essentialStrong numeracy and literacy skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medicationsAbility to work as part of a team and independently under supervisionGood communication skills and a customer-focused approachReliability and punctualityA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient privacyWillingness to undertake relevant training and gain knowledge of pharmacy practicePhysical capability to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting stockWhat we offerPart-time hours which will include weekendsA supportive and welcoming work environmentOpportunities to develop your skills and knowledge in pharmacy practiceSupport and mentorship from an experienced team
