This is a unique opportunity to use your practical skills to support others, foster social connections, and help create a welcoming setting where people can learn, build and thrive.Whether you're looking for flexible work alongside other commitments, transitioning towards retirement, or wanting to give back to your local community, we'd love to hear from you.About the Men's Shed ProgramThe Men's Shed Program supports men's health and wellbeing by creating opportunities for connection, friendship, learning and peer support.Participants come together to share skills, knowledge and life experiences while working on a variety of projects including:Woodworking and carpentryMetalwork and fabricationRestoration projectsCreative and artistic pursuitsUp-cycling and repurposing materialsThrough our Up-Cycle Shop, many of the items created and restored within the Shed are made available to the wider community, helping reduce waste while supporting sustainability initiatives.About YouYou'll be someone who enjoys working with people just as much as working with tools.You will bring:A Certificate III in Carpentry, Cabinet Making, Furniture Making, Metalwork or a related tradeDemonstrated experience using a broad range of hand and power toolsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environmentSound knowledge of workplace health and safety practicesWhy Join Us?
