International Panels (Australia) Pty Ltd – Yatala QLDYou will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and setup of CNC woodworking machinery, producing accurate components from plywood, timber and other panel products.
This is more than an operator role.
You will be a qualified and experienced wood machinist who can confidently operate and set up CNC machinery, interpret technical drawings and has some experience preparing or modifying DXF files.
You will play an key role in developing and improving CNC machining capabilities and will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership of the machining process.Key responsibilitiesSetting up and operating CNC woodworking machineryPreparing, checking and modifying DXF files for CNC productionReading and interpreting technical drawingsSelecting appropriate tooling and machining processesSetting machine parameters and optimising cutting performanceProducing accurate components to specified tolerancesInspecting finished products and maintaining quality standardsIdentifying and resolving machining issuesPerforming routine machine maintenance and housekeepingAssisting with the development and improvement of CNC processesAbout youA recognised trade qualification in wood machining, cabinet making, joinery or a related fieldExperience with DXF files and basic CAD/CAM preparationThe ability to read technical drawingsGood understanding of timber, plywood and panel productsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to troubleshoot machining and production issuesAbility to work independently while also being part of a small team$40–$45 per hour + superannuation, depending on experienceFull-time, Monday–Friday position with early finishes on FridaysOvertime opportunities as requiredModern manufacturing facility in YatalaOpportunity to work with a range of plywood, timber and engineered panel productsOpportunity to have genuine input into CNC machining processesStable position within an established Australian businessOpportunity for the right person to develop into a senior CNC / machining leadership role
