SCHADS Industry Award – Level 4Based in Cairns with regular travel AurukunNot every leadership role creates lasting change.At EMG Inclusive Supports, we're building something different.We work alongside remote and very remote communities across Cape York, the Torres Strait and regional Queensland, supporting people with disability to live meaningful lives while creating meaningful employment opportunities and strengthening local workforces.We're looking for an experienced Program Coordinator who is passionate about supporting remote communities and helping people grow.This role will play a key part in supporting our operations in Aurukun, while creating opportunities for local people to develop their skills, confidence and leadership potential.About the RoleAs Program Coordinator, your initial focus will be supporting our operations in Aurukun.You will work closely with the local team of Support Workers to ensure the delivery of quality, person-centred supports while maintaining strong day-to-day operations.This role will initially involve regular travel to Aurukun, where you'll work closely with the local workforce to strengthen operations, support professional development and help create pathways for emerging local leaders.
Building trusted relationships, developing local capability and supporting long-term community-led service delivery will be central to your success in the role.The role is based in Cairns and may also provide support across other remote regions as operational needs develop.You will:Coordinate the delivery of quality, person-centred supportsSupport, mentor and develop members of the local workforceIdentify and support emerging leaders within the teamAssist with workforce planning, rostering and service coordinationStrengthen documentation, service records and billing processesMonitor service quality, compliance and operational performanceSupport staff training, induction and professional developmentAssist with incident management, risk management and continuous improvement activitiesBuild strong relationships with clients, families,



community stakeholders and internal teamsTravel regularly to Aurukun to provide operational support and workforce developmentAbout YouWe believe this role is particularly well suited to someone who understands the unique dynamics of remote communities, along with experience working within the Disability/NDIS sector.You may have lived, worked or held leadership roles in remote, regional or community-based settings and understand that sustainable outcomes come from investing in local capability rather than relying on fly-in, fly-out solutions.You will also bring an understanding of the NDIS workplace, including the importance of delivering quality, compliant and person-centred supports that genuinely improve outcomes for people with disability.At EMG Inclusive Supports, our focus is on developing local workforces, creating leadership pathways and supporting communities to build their own long-term capacity.We're looking for someone who values this approach and is passionate about mentoring others, strengthening local leadership and creating opportunities for people to grow within their own communities.You'll bring:Experience working in remote First Nations communitiesDemonstrated leadership, staff supervision or workforce development experienceExperience within disability, community services, health, aged care or human servicesStrong communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to mentor and support staff to achieve their potentialSound problem-solving and organisational skillsThe ability to work independently and adapt to changing prioritiesExperience managing workplace conflict in a respectful and constructive mannerStrong written reporting and computer skillsA commitment to quality service delivery and positive outcomes for people with disabilityQualifications in Community Services, Disability, Leadership & Management or a related field are highly regarded but not essential.Why Join EMG Inclusive Supports?
