Design & Build Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSWSydney CBD | Construction Industry | Permanent OpportunityWe are currently partnering with a leading construction business to recruit anAccountant to join their Sydney-based finance team.This is a great opportunity for an Accountant looking to take the next step in their career, working closely with the Finance Manager and gaining exposure across month-end, reconciliations, reporting and broader financial operations.The Role:Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation and reporting of financial information.Key responsibilities will include:Completing daily bank reconciliations and resolving discrepanciesAssisting with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments and general ledger reconciliationsReconciling overhead and balance sheet accounts and providing commentary on key movements and variancesWorking closely with the Accounts Payable team to ensure accurate invoice coding and allocationPreparing monthly BAS workpapersAssisting with monthly management reporting and financial forecastingManaging and reconciling retention trust accountsAssisting with bank guarantee and bond administrationPreparing ad hoc financial reports, reconciliations and analysisSupporting continuous improvement across finance processes and reportingAbout YouWe are looking for someone with:3+ years' experience in an Accountant or similar roleStrong Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting systemsExcellent attention to detail and solid reconciliation skillsA proactive approach with the ability to work collaboratively across a finance teamStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsA genuine interest in developing your accounting careerTertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; CPA qualification will also be consideredWhy Apply?
