Wagon Wheel Motel is seeking a Chef or Couple to join our team in Cloncurry, Queensland.
Preference will be given to some Thai culinary experience.This is a casual position offering flexibility for two culinary professionals to work collaboratively in a hospitality environment.

The position is based in Cloncurry QLD ****, where you'll be instrumental in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests and clientele.Key responsibilitiesPreparing and cooking high-quality meals according to established recipes, menus and food safety standardsManaging kitchen operations and maintaining a clean, organised and efficient cooking environmentCoordinating meal preparation with your partner to ensure seamless service and consistent food qualityMonitoring food stock levels and communicating ordering requirements to managementAdhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations,



including proper food handling and storage proceduresWorking collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate meal deliveryAdapting to menu changes and accommodating special dietary requirements or guest requestsContributing creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specialsTraining and assisting junior kitchen staff as requiredWhat we're looking forProven experience as a chef or cook in a professional hospitality settingPreferred Thai culinary experience.Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare diverse cuisines to a high standardComprehensive knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and kitchen best practicesExcellent organisational and time-management abilities in a rapid-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as a couple or teamPhysical capability to stand for extended periods and manage the demands of kitchen workFlexibility to adapt to changing menus and operational requirementsCurrent food handling certificate or willingness to obtain oneRelevant culinary qualifications or apprenticeship completion is desirableWhat we offerFree accommodation in a motel style room.
