It is located in BUNKR; a busy, boutique gym in the centre of town.About the roleWe are seeking an experienced Cafe Manager to join our team at The Shed in Wagga Wagga NSW.
This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of our cafe operations.
As Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, maintaining high service standards, and creating a positive environment for customers.
This role is pivotal to the success of our establishment and offers the chance to make a real impact on our business performance and customer satisfaction.Key responsibilitiesMake coffee - our reputation is strong and our standards are high.
Coffee needs to be delicious, consistent and made quicklyOversee all daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and cash handlingWork with autonomy and identify growth and collaboration opportunities within the businessManage rostering and staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and quiet periodsMonitor food and beverage quality and compliance with health and safety standardsMaintain inventory levels, place orders with suppliers,



and manage stock rotationHandle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfactionImplement and maintain cleaning standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulationsDevelop and promote specials, events, and marketing initiatives to drive customer engagement and salesLiaise with management and communicate operational updates, challenges, and opportunitiesWhat we're looking forStrong leadership with an appetite for growthExcellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detailKnowledge of cafe operations, including beverage preparation and menu managementWhile the role is a Monday - Friday role, we would like the ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends and public holidays as/if requiredExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsPreferred (but not essential) experience includes experience in a busy, customer facing environment, ideally familiarity with specialty coffee preparation, and a track record of improving operational efficiency and community engagement through customer service and social media.What we offerThe Press Johnston St is committed to supporting our team members with a range of benefits and opportunities.
