This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, fault finding, and working with mechanically simple but ageing equipment.If you're calm under pressure, logically minded, and enjoy figuring out why something broke – not just fixing it – we'd love to hear from you.This role is primarily focused on breakdown response and mechanical fault finding across a manufacturing site that has been operating for decades.
The machinery is largely non‐electronic and relies on strong mechanical fundamentals and critical thinking.You'll work closely with operators and the wider maintenance team to diagnose issues, restore production, and ensure follow‐up actions are properly documented and completed.ResponsibilitiesAttend and resolve mechanical breakdowns in a safe, efficient mannerFault find across predominantly pneumatic systems, with some hydraulics and general mechanical workGather information from operators and line owners to diagnose issues accuratelyApply logical, step‐by‐step problem solving to identify root causesCarry out follow‐up work after temporary repairs and ensure jobs are properly closed outUse a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)

You don't need experience with the latest automation or electronics – what matters most is your ability to think critically and explain your approach.We're open to a range of experience levels.
Whether you're earlier in your career or highly experienced, if you can clearly demonstrate your problem‐solving approach, we want to talk to you.Trade qualification as a Maintenance FitterStrong mechanical aptitudeLogical, calm approach to problem solvingAbility to clearly explain what happened, why it happened, and how you fixed itExperience in a manufacturing setting (any industry)Pneumatic and/or hydraulic fault‐finding experienceExposure to CMMS systems (e.g. MEX or similar – training provided)Why Join Us?
