About the roleThe Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations of a small production team, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to quality and safety standards, and achievement of shift targets.
Supports staff performance management, training, and compliance with health, safety, and GMP requirements.
Maintains accurate production records, manages raw material supply, monitors inventory, and troubleshoots production issues to minimize downtime and waste.What you'll doDaily supervision and direction of a small production team under the guidance of the Production ManagerBe responsible for the daily team support and review of staff performanceCoordinate on the job staff training and assessmentOversee and ensure adherence to standards in quality, safety and efficiencies across the assigned production lines to meet shift requirementsEnsure team compliance to health and safety standards and reporting of all near misses and hazardsMaintain food safety/production records ensuring their accurate completionEnsure organization of the work area and GMP standardsOversee production lines supply of raw materials/componentsConduct physical inventory checks for stock verificationsTrouble shoot production issues and raise equipment malfunctionsContribute to minimizing food wastage in the production areaQualificationBackground in food manufacturing/preparation and/or large volume commercial kitchen facility, operating food production equipmentUnderstanding of GMP, HACCP and Food Safety practicesCertificate II in Food Processing (or working towards this qualification) or equivalent (Desirable)SkillsEffective communication and organizational skillsGood interpersonal skills to work with people from diverse backgroundsAbility to give clear instructions to team and manage team performanceAbility to inspire and motivate the team to realize their full potentialDedicated with solid work ethic and "can-do" attitudeAble to work in fast paced production environment with changing prioritiesExceptional personal presentationWhy join The Kitchen Food Company?
