This is a outstanding opportunity to work on practical projects that improve road safety, traffic flow and network performance across the Gold Coast region.What's in it for you2-year contract from September **** to August ****$*****–$***** per hour + 12% SuperWork on meaningful road safety and traffic engineering projects across the regionAbout the roleProvide technical expertise across traffic engineering, road safety and road network operationsInvestigate traffic and road safety issues and develop practical solutionsSupport the delivery of road safety programs and minor works across the regionProvide technical advice to internal teams and stakeholdersKey responsibilitiesInvestigate, analyse and review traffic and road safety issues across the state-controlled networkContribute to the Road Safety Minor Works program and identify value-for-money treatmentsSupport project proposals for Road Safety Mass Action Plans, Safer Roads Sooner and Black Spot ProgramsProvide specialist advice on traffic investigations, safety programs,
signage and line markingPrepare technical reports, correspondence and responses to public and Ministerial enquiriesCommunicate technical information and advice to internal and external stakeholdersApply relevant engineering standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirementsAbout youBachelor of Engineering, or an equivalent qualification assessed by Engineers AustraliaExperience or knowledge of traffic engineering and road safety principles will be highly regardedStrong communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsCurrent Class C driver's licence and Construction Industry Induction (White Card)Ability to work across relevant road infrastructure sitesDFP welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds and people with disability.
