We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician to join us on a full time permanent basis, focused on our installation workload.RoleThis is an installation-focused trade role.Key responsibilitiesInstall and commission light commercial and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split, multi-head, ducted and packaged unitsSet out installations from drawings and specificationsdrill, mount, and cut, bend, braze and run refrigeration pipeworkCarry out refrigerant handling activities - pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation and charging - in accordance with licensing requirementsConnect and test electrical and control wiring associated with installed equipmentTest, commission and adjust installed systems to ensure they operate to manufacturer specifications and relevant Australian standardsDiagnose and rectify faults on light commercial and commercial systems, and replace defective componentsPerform scheduled preventative maintenance,



routine inspections and operational checksRead and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, plans and specificationsMaintain accurate job records, service reports and installation documentationWork safely and in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements and manufacturer specificationsCommunicate professionally with clients, builders, contractors and team members on siteAbout youDemonstrated hands-on experience as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician, HVAC Technician, Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic or similar trade roleSolid practical experience installing and commissioning split, multi-head, ducted and packaged air conditioning systemsCompetence in refrigeration pipework - cutting, bending, brazing, pressure testing, evacuation and chargingWorking knowledge of refrigeration principles, mechanical components and the electrical control systems associated with the equipment you installAbility to fault-find and repair on light commercial and commercial systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals and specificationsA current ARC refrigerant handling licence appropriate to the workRelevant trade qualifications, technical training or equivalent industry experience in air conditioning, refrigeration or a related fieldA commitment to safe work practices and a practical, reliable approach on siteA current Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel to worksites across the Perth metropolitan areaWhat we offerPermanent full-time employment with an established Western Australian business servicing clients across PerthConsistent installation workload across a varied client baseA small, supportive team with experienced tradespeople on handOngoing skills development and support toward further qualificationsA workplace that values quality workmanship and safe work practices
