Mechanical Fitter - Government - Sydney CBDAPG are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a 9-month contract for a local Government Sector based in Sydney CBD.The RoleLocation: Sydney Harbour BridgeStart Date: ASAPEnd Date: 9 MonthsPay Rate: $***** per hour + Super + AllowancesHours of work: 38 hours per weekJob DetailsWill be required to safely install, maintain, repair, commission and modify complex machinery which uses hydraulic/pneumatic principles and will carry out minor repairs and minor servicing on vehicles.Key accountabilitiesSafely carry out all aspects of Fitter works in accordance with their Trade Qualifications, industry specifications and Transport for NSW quality standards.Perform a wide range of routine and complex labouring/manual tasks,



including the use of a variety of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools to assist with the completion of work activities.Work is completed under limited supervision and may be done in a team workplace or independently.Perform a wide range of advanced non-trades functions which have been acquired through experience or formal training to specified standards and tolerances.Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refueling and checking fluid and maintain records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant itemsSolve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achievedRequiredCertificate III in Engineering – Mechanical TradeCurrent Construction Industry White CardCurrent Rail Industry Worker (RIW) CardCurrent unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's licenseWillingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directedDogging or Rigging ticket, Working at heights, Rail RISI (desirable)
