This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise across warehouse management and despatch operations.
In this dual-focused role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, maintaining high standards of organisation, safety, and efficiency.
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities whilst also providing essential support to our despatch team, making you a key contributor to our operational success.Key responsibilitiesOversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and despatch of goodsensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocolsMaintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checksMonitor warehouse organisation and implement systems to optimise space utilisation and accessibilityAssist with order preparation, labelling,



and coordination of shipmentsEnsure all goods are handled in accordance with company policies and applicable regulationsIdentify and resolve operational issues to improve efficiency and reduce costsMaintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standardsLiaise with transport providers and clients and customers to coordinate collection and delivery schedulesPrepare reports on warehouse performance, including KPIs and inventory metricsTrain and mentor warehouse staff on best practices and operational proceduresTake phone bookings and assist our operations teamWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar warehouse operations role within a distribution or logistics environmentExperience supporting despatch operationsStrong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software - CartonCloud a big advantageDemonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detailSound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to warehousing operationsForklift license including high reachExperience in the transport or logistics industryReliable, honest, hardworking and drivenWhat we offerSwift Transport Services offers a competitive and rewarding work environment.
