We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Port Melbourne team.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.What You'll Do:Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.Ensure protected and efficient operation of equipment within a large-scale manufacturing environment.What You'll Bring:Trade qualification: Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Proven experience in heavy manufacturing, FMCG, petrochemical, power & energy generation, or mining industries.Exposure to plasterboard manufacturing will be highly regarded.Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, with confidence in troubleshooting and repairs.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Employee BenefitsCompetitive Salary Package on OfferLong term career potentialAn Employee Assistance Program, which incorporates a tailored wellbeing initiative
