We are seeking a reliable, motivated Retail Assistant to help run our day-to-day operations.This is a hands-on role with a high level of responsibility.
You will work alongside the owner/managers, and occasionally you will work independently.
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing excellent customer service.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, and is looking for a stable, long-term role in a growing business.
There is opportunity for advancement in the business with a path to become assistant manager.We operate at various markets around Brisbane including Ascot, New Farm and Brisbane CBD.This position is available for an immediate start, but we can be flexible for the right candidate.Role ResponsibilitiesWorking at seafood retail trailers at roadside locations and farmers marketsSetting up and packing down the trailer each dayServing customers and providing friendly, professional customer serviceHandling cash and EFTPOS transactions and assisting with daily reconciliationMaintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safetyAssist with monitoring stock levels and communicating stock requirementsRepresenting the business professionally at all timesManaging daily operations independently when requiredRequirementsCurrent Australian Driver's Licence (essential)Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kgComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain)Willing to work Saturday and Sunday every weekTrustworthy, reliable, punctual, and highly responsibleAble to work as part of a teamFriendly, confident, and customer-focusedComfortable handling cash and EFTPOS transactionsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsRetail or customer service experience preferred but not essentialPositive attitude and strong work ethicAdvantageous but not necessary - comfortable driving and towing a trailer, or willing to learn how to tow a trailer.Full training will be provided for the right candidate.HoursFull time position, approximately ***** hours per weekFour day week is an optionWednesday to Sunday each weekWeekend work and some public holidays requiredExpected start time range 5:00am-8:00am depending on dayRemuneration and BenefitsSalary position: $63,000 - $75,000 + superannuation, depending on experienceStable, long-term role in a growing businessSupportive, respectful working environmentOpportunity for increased responsibility and progression over timeAbout the RoleThis position is ideal for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and works well in a team.
