Based in Blacktown NSW ****, this role is central to delivering high-quality tiling solutions to our clients across residential and commercial projects.
As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will be responsible for the precise installation of tiles on walls and floors, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the reputation NSW Ultimate Solutions has built for excellence in the building trades.Key responsibilitiesPrepare surfaces including cleaning, levelling and applying appropriate substrate materials to ensure optimal tile adhesionMeasure, cut and fit tiles accurately using specialist tools and equipment, including wet saws and tile cuttersApply adhesive and grout to walls and floors in accordance with industry best practices and manufacturer specificationsInstall tiles in various patterns and designs, ensuring straight alignment and consistent spacing throughoutFinish grouted surfaces to professional standards, including cleaning and sealing where requiredInspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and all tiles are secure and properly finishedMaintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and site requirementsCommunicate effectively with other tradespeople, supervisors and clients to ensure project objectives are achievedUtilise hand and power tools safely and maintain equipment in good working orderWhat we're looking forCurrent qualifications and certification as a Wall and Floor Tiler or equivalent recognised trainingMinimum of 3 years' proven experience in wall and floor tiling across residential and/or commercial projectsStrong technical knowledge of tiling techniques, adhesives, grouts and substrate preparation methodsProficiency with specialist tiling tools and equipment, including levels, spacers, wet saws and grout applicatorsExcellent attention to detail with the ability to achieve exact measurements and consistent finishesPhysical fitness and stamina to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasksValid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various job sites within the local areaCommitment to health and safety compliance and ability to work in accordance with site-specific requirementsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different project requirementsPreferred: Experience with natural stone tiling, large format tiles or specialist tiling applicationsWhat we offerCompetitive remuneration package reflective of qualifications and experienceStable full-time employment with a reputable building trades companyOpportunity to work on varied and interesting projects across the local regionA supportive team environment that values craftsmanship and professional developmentAccess to modern tools and equipment to support quality workmanshipPotential for career progression within the organisationCompliance with all relevant award entitlements and working conditionsAbout usNSW Ultimate Solutions Pty Ltd is a respected building trades company dedicated to delivering exceptional tiling and construction services across residential and commercial projects in the greater Sydney region.
