You'll work alongside the Head Coach to coach group, team, and personal training sessions, mentor and develop our team of coaches, and ensure every session meets the D1 standard — all while building real relationships with the athletes and families we train.
This is a ground-floor leadership chance with a clear path to Head Coach and beyond as we grow.What You'll DoAs Assistant Head Coach, you'll work side-by-side with the Head Coach to lead our coaching staff and deliver the best training experience in Melbourne.
You will:Assist in coaching and overseeing group, semi-private, team, and personal training sessionsHelp lead, mentor, and develop our team of coaches, ensuring every session meets the D1 standardCreate a high-energy, motivating environment every sessionTeach and reinforce proper technique, speed, strength,



and movement patterns for athletes ages 7 to adultModify exercises to meet each athlete's age, ability, and goalsSupport the Head Coach in quality control, coach audits, and coaching feedbackBuild real relationships with Melbourne families, athletes, and teamsStart and finish sessions on time, every timeReduce injury risk through smart coaching and movement qualityStep in to lead the coaching staff in the Head Coach's absenceRepresent D1 Training Melbourne with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrityQualificationsAED/CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain quickly)At least one NCCA-accredited certification (NSCA, NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA, etc.)2+ years coaching experience (group, team, or personal training) preferredPrior leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience a plusBachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred, not required)Why This Role Stands OutLead a team in a performance-driven training environmentDirect impact on both athlete results and team developmentOpportunity to grow into higher-level leadership within a scaling brandWork with a diverse athlete base, from youth to adults to teams
