Barr Personnel are seeking Class 1 Shunter Drivers (Days & Nights)Location: Felixstowe, SuffolkPosition: Full-timeShifts Available: Dedicated Day Shifts OR Dedicated Night ShiftsAbout the RoleWe are seeking reliable, experienced Class 1 (LGV Cat CE) Shunter Drivers to join our busy operation based in the Port of Felixstowe.
This critical role ensures the protected,
efficient movement of containers and trailers around our yard and internal port terminals.Key ResponsibilitiesMove trailers and containers safely around the yard and port complex.Execute precise coupling and uncoupling of trailers.Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects immediately.Maintain strict compliance with port safety regulations and speed limits.Communicate effectively with the yard coordination and planning teams.What We Are Looking ForValid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.Valid Digital Tachograph and DQC (CPC) cards.Previous shunting or tug driving experience within a port environment is a major advantage.No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (for minor offences only, no DD/DR/IN endorsements).
