Remington Steel is seeking skilled and experienced CNC Machine Operators for both day shift and afternoon shift to join our manufacturing team at our Derrimut, Victoria facility.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring the precision manufacturing of steel components to the highest quality standards.
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machinery, contributing directly to our ability to deliver excellent results to our clients.What you'll be doingSetting up and configuring CNC machines in accordance with production specifications and technical drawingsOperating CNC machinery to manufacture steel components with precision and accuracyMonitoring machine performance and output quality throughout production runsConducting routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performancePerforming quality control checks and measurements on finished components using appropriate measuring toolsReading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructionsTroubleshooting minor machine issues and reporting significant problems to supervisorsMaintaining accurate production records and documentationAdhering to all health, safety, and environmental protocols in the workplaceSupporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing teamWhat we're looking forProven experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of CNC programming concepts and machine functionsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accuratelyProficiency with measuring tools and quality control proceduresKnowledge of machining processes and materials, particularly steelExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workStrong problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitudeReliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to workAbility to work independently and as part of a teamRelevant trade qualifications or certifications in machine operations (preferred)Experience with specific CNC software or systems (advantageous)What we offerRemington Steel is committed to providing our team members with a supportive and rewarding work workplace.
