About the roleProvide professional nursing/midwifery services within the Child and Family Health Service (CaFHS), delivering person-centred care while developing clinical capability through ongoing professional development, experience, and accountability for own practice and delegated activities.
Key duties of the role




Assess client needs, deliver person-centred nursing/midwifery care, and coordinate appropriate health services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external agenciesParticipate in quality improvement activities that contribute to client safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice settingProvide health promotion and education, to clients or groups to improve the health outcomes of individualParticipate in evaluative research activities within the practice settingProvide, with increasing capacity over time, support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, including Enrolled Nurses
Skills and Experience
Registered Nurse/Midwife with current or eligible NMBA registration and practising certificateDemonstrated competence in relevant nursing/midwifery practice standardsExperience delivering safe, high-quality, person and family-centred careKnowledge of healthcare legislation, standards, ethics and quality improvement practicesAbility to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
