We are looking for a Technology Programs Officer to join our library team and help deliver innovative learning opportunities through The Learning Space.The Learning Space is operated by City of Canada Bay Library Services and is part of The Connection Rhodes.
It provides a vibrant and welcoming space which supports learning, creativity, innovation, and community.
The Learning Space offers access to digital resources, places to study, work and gather, and a broad program of workshops, exhibitions, and events in digital and creative making to support community learning at all levels.
Facilities will include high speed Wi-Fi, printing, and a Makerspace with 3d printers, a laser cutter, die cutters, photography and video studio equipment, robotics and electronics equipmentIn this role, you will develop and deliver community learning programs focused on emerging technologies and areas of community interest.
You will help customers build their digital confidence and skills while providing welcoming, high-quality customer experience.About the roleKey responsibilities include (but not limited to):Develop and deliver engaging technology and community learning programs,



workshops and events.Support the day-to-day operations of The Learning Space and provide excellent customer service and technical assistance.Stay up to date with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to introduce them to the community.Work collaboratively with Library, The Connection and Council staff to deliver innovative programs and activities.Assist with program promotion, reporting, evaluation and community engagement.Provide support and supervision as required, including Senior Duty Officer responsibilitiesAbout the personIn this role you will bring:Relevant qualifications or experience in technology, digital media, education or a related field.Experience delivering technology or learning programs to diverse audiences.Knowledge of digital and emerging technologies, including 3D printing, coding and electronics.Strong communication, customer service, teamwork and organisational skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and support marketing and promotional activities.Current Class C Driver Licence and Working with Children Check.Want to know more?
