Join the BushlandManagement Team as a Park Ranger and play a vital role in preserving andenhancing our unique bushland reserves.About the RoleYou'll be joining apassionate and collaborative team dedicated to delivering high qualityconservation outcomes across Banyule's natural landscapes.
Inthis role, you'll regularly engage with enthusiastic community members andvolunteer groups, fostering meaningful partnerships that support environmentalstewardship and local biodiversity initiatives.You'll play a vital role in protecting and enhancing some ofMelbourne's most scenic and ecologically rich environments making a lastingimpact on the region's natural heritage.What You'll Be DoingImplementing targeted conservation and ecologicalrestoration activities across high-value biodiversity reserves, in alignmentwith the strategic works plan developed by the Senior Ranger.Engaging with and support community environmental volunteergroups, fostering collaborative stewardship of conservation reserves acrossBanyule.Collaborating with other Bushland team members and Parks andNatural Setting staff contributing to the management and enhancement ofdiverse natural and amenity sites.What you'll bring/what we are looking forQualificationsin Natural Resource Management or a related fieldExperience in, or adesire to further develop skills in, bushland regeneration and urbanrevegetation practicesSoundknowledge of native flora, particularly indigenous to BanyuleStrongunderstanding of weed identification and integrated weed managementpracticesAbilityto work effectively as part of a team and communicate with stakeholdersand the communityApassion for environmental conservation and a hands-on approach to landcarePre-employment requirementsDriver'sLicenceWorkingWith Children CheckFunctionalCapacity AssessmentAgriculturalchemical users certificateNationallyCoordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)We offer:A temporary full time parental leave cover opportunityto 5 February ****.Acollaborative, inclusive, and progressive work environment.Professionalgrowth and development opportunities to support your career aspirations.Genuinework-life balance and generous leave arrangements with a nine-dayfortnight (fortnightly RDO's)Award-winninglearning and development opportunitiesHealthand well-being initiatives including Fitness PassportAsupportive workplace with great flexibility and a focus on wellbeingWork outdoors with a great team.
