The successful candidate will be appointed under the Electoral Act **** for state elections and under the Local Government (Electoral) Regulations **** for council elections.
The pay and conditions for this role, are set out under the VEC's Election Staff Remuneration and Allowance Framework.Interviews will be conducted the week commencing 7 September, with training for successful candidates undertaken in mid to late September ****.What you will be doingYou will lead the logistics and resourcing function for a hub supporting one or more electoral districts.
Hubs are central field-based sites that coordinate staffing, logistics, resources and operational support during an election.You do not need previous election experience.
We will train you on electoral processes, systems and procedures.
We are looking for someone who can lead a team, manage competing priorities and ensure critical election materials are handled accurately, securely and on time.Day to day, you will:Lead a small logistics and resourcing team to support election operations across multiple districtsCoordinate the preparation, distribution, tracking and return of election materials and equipmentOversee the secure handling and reconciliation of ballot papers and other sensitive electoral materialsManage inventory, stock control and resource allocation across voting centresCoordinate delivery and collection schedules for election materials and equipmentEnsure accurate record keeping and compliance with established proceduresMonitor operational risks and resolve issues in a fast-paced environmentWork closely with election managers, hub teams and external stakeholders to support election deliverySupport the return of materials process and the decommissioning of hub operations following election eventsDuring a state election, activity levels increase rapidly.
You will play a key role in ensuring voting centres receive the resources they need, while maintaining the security, integrity and accountability that Victorians expect from their elections.What you will bring to the roleExperience leading logistics, operational, warehouse, inventory or resource management activitiesExperience supervising, motivating and supporting a small team to achieve resultsStrong planning and organisational skills,
