Captivate Events & Communications is looking for an Event Manager to deliver a portfolio of agency style events across Australia.
Working as part of an award-winning event production team you will deliver medium to large-scale B2B events including summits, conferences, study tours and awards in a hybrid, live broadcast and in-person formats.This is a great role for a passionate person who gets a buzz from overcoming hurdles to work as a team to deliver events they are proud of and the tenacity to see their great ideas through to delivery.Role DescriptionProject manage the delivery of a portfolio of existing and current industry-orientated events (including summits, conferences, study tours and awards) across the end-to-end event lifecycle that meet budget and client/delegate expectations.
You will work as a key part of a dedicated client portfolio team, working closely with the portfolio producer to manage and complete the execution of each assigned event.Core responsibilities:Ensure event progress is kept on track against project plan and timetable and that event risks are pro-actively identified and mitigatedManage execution of event logistics and operations including the delegation of tasks to event coordinatorsEvent cost management to meet budget expectationsWork in conjunction with the Digital and Marketing team to contribute to event marketing plansContribute to development of event contentVenue and supplier sourcing, negotiation and contractingCoordinate staff (both internal and onsite staff) and resources for specific eventsTroubleshoot conflicts and issues as they ariseSpeaker and sponsor engagement and preparation (typically during execution phase)Lead Event bump-in and bump-outDevelop effective relationships with event stakeholders, suppliers and partners (both internal and external)Actively contribute and implement ideas and proposals to increase event impact, reach, efficiency of delivery and commercial results, as well as capturing feedback and improvements to measure event's successQualificationsAt least 3 years experience managing event deliveryEvent Planning, Coordination, and Execution skillsBudget Management and Vendor Relationship skillsStrong Organizational and Time Management AbilitiesExcellent Communication and Interpersonal skillsAttention to Detail and Problem-Solving skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesExperience with Events Air software is a plusRelevant degree or certification in Event Management or related field
