St Luke's Grammar School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, professional and passionate Music Teacher to join our teaching team and contribute to the School's extensive Performing Arts co-curricular program.The successful applicant will be suitably qualified and committed to delivering engaging and inspiring Music learning experiences.
You will enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and have a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the vibrant musical and performing arts life of the School.Key responsibilities:Actively develop an understanding of the LEARNING@STLUKE'S Framework and incorporate this into teaching programs and practiceTeaching Stage 4-6 Music (experience teaching Stage 6 an advantageContributing to the Performing Arts co-curricular program, including as an ensemble director and assisting with events and other Performing Arts initiativesCreate a positive learning environment in the classroom, implement effective classroom management skills and promote student responsibility for learningDifferentiate teaching programs and develop strategies to meet the learning needs of studentsIntegrate technology into the delivery of teaching programsBe a continuous learner,



committed to the development of their own skills and willing to participate in qualified learningWork collaboratively with an established, committed team of Music Educators across the classroom and co-curricular ensembles and contribute to a growing programBe willing to contribute to developing and delivering contemporary and cohesive music education in classroom curriculum and co-curricularHave a high level of musicianshipDesign and implement a range of formative and summative assessments that include assessment for and assessment as learningWork collaboratively as a member of a teamUse a restorative justice approach to student managementParticipate in Professional Learning GroupsInvolvement in the Pastoral program of the SchoolParticipate in the Co-curricular and School Camping program as requiredAttendance at staff meetings, Chapel and other School events, when required and as directedInvolvement in School activities and relevant functionsUndertake any other duties as requested by the Principal
