This is an exciting prospect for a highly motivated, aspiring and customer-focused Retail Manager to join our ever-growing, well-loved family business in North Sydney.
In this fast-paced, multifaceted role, you will manage the day-to-day retail operations of the store, delivering the highest standard of customer service.Your principal duties and tasks will be to:Manage the day-to-day retail operations of the store(s) to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently while optimising profitsEnsure delivery of customer service is of a high standard at all times to assure customer satisfactionEnsure customer enquiries are handled courteously, accurately and in a timely manner, including advising customers on product useManage levels of stock and purchases (non-dispensary) and maintain records for store-related expenses, including stock rotation and monitoring of product expiry datesPromote the store's products and services,



ensuring pricing and product displays are compliant and kept up to date as per Buyer/Campaign instructionsBuild and maintain customer rapport and loyaltyAddress customer complaints about goods and services professionally and in a timely manner, escalating to the Owner or Area Manager as requiredInterview, hire and induct new employees, and ensure staff are well-informed on current sales and promotionsEnsure front-of-store staff receive training in safe work practices and store security procedures, and enforce these as necessaryPrepare and manage budgets for store revenue and expensesFoster a spirit of teamwork and unity among employees, and promote a positive working environmentEnsure compliance with health and safety legislation and the business's safety policies, directives and proceduresAll other duties related to the position of Retail Manager.Skills and Experience RequiredAssociate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification, or three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications; a Bachelor degree or higher would be beneficialAt least 2 years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced retail pharmacy (more is advantageous)Demonstrated experience in the day-to-day running of a store or department, including inventory control, stocktaking and shift schedulingStrong conflict resolution experience and the ability to de-escalate situationsProven ability leading and supervising staff, including mentoring and on-the-job trainingProven track record building strong and effective relationships with staffProven ability working towards sales targets and KPIsStrong organisational, time management and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA motivated, proactive and positive outlook, with a willingness to learn and grow with the business.
