The pharmacy is committed to providing accessible, personalized healthcare and professional pharmacy services, with a strong focus on patient care and wellbeing.
Its services include prescription dispensing, medication management, vaccination services, compounding, health checks, prescribing support and telehealth consultations.
Waterfront Pharmacy operates from two locations in Wentworth Point and aims to provide a convenient, supportive and patient-centered healthcare experience for the local communityDutiesDispensing prescriptions accurately and safely in accordance with Australian pharmacy legislation, professional standards, and pharmacy procedures.Providing medication counselling and general health advice to patients under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, where required.Reviewing prescriptions and supporting safe medication supply practices.Assisting patients with enquiries regarding medicines, healthcare products,
and pharmacy services.Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and quality standards.Supporting the delivery of qualified pharmacy services and contributing to positive patient health outcomes.Assisting with stock management, inventory control, ordering, and general pharmacy operations.Working collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to ensure effective and productive pharmacy services.Completing supervised practice requirements and progressing towards general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.RequirementsBachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.Positive skills assessment for Retail Pharmacist.Successful completion of the required knowledge assessment examination (KAPS/OPRA).
Eligibility to obtain provisional registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and undertake supervised practice requirements.Relevant pharmacy experience, including experience gained through retail/community pharmacy practice, internship, or supervised clinical placements.Demonstrated knowledge of medication management, dispensing procedures, pharmacy legislation, and professional standards.Strong communication and customer service skills.Commitment to meeting Australian registration requirements and maintaining professional development.
