Industrial Maintenance Electrician (Night Shift) (FMCG)We are seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians to provide night shift coverage at a continuous manufacturing facility operating 24/7.
You'll play a key role in monitoring production systems, responding to equipment faults, and ensuring plant operations continue safely and efficiently throughout the night within a PLC-controlled manufacturing environment where reliability is critical.Key responsibilitiesMonitor the continuous operation of kilns, dryers and automated material handling systemsRespond to plant alarms and complete authorised equipment resetsDiagnose and rectify electrical, PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults within your level of competencyPerform breakdown maintenance to minimise production downtimeEscalate major electrical,
mechanical or gas-related issues when requiredMaintain accurate maintenance records and communicate effectively during shift handoversWork safely and independently while supporting a continuous manufacturing operationAbout youCurrent Victorian A Grade Electrical LicenceMinimum 3 years' experience as an Industrial Maintenance ElectricianExperience within manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsExperience working with PLC-controlled automated machineryExposure to motors, drives, sensors, hydraulic and pneumatic systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsComfortable working independently on night shiftStrong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solvingCommitment to workplace safety and continuous improvementAbout usGPS Electrical Services is a national leader in Electrical Installation, Maintenance, Engineering, and System Integration.
