Structural Engineer - Site Inspections & DesignModular Engineers is looking for a motivated Structural Engineer with approximately 2-3 years of Australian experience to join our growing engineering team.This role would suit an engineer who enjoys being out on site, is confident dealing with builders and contractors, and also wants to continue developing their structural design skills.A large part of the role will involve attending structural inspections across Sydney, so we are particularly looking for someone who is practical, reliable, confident on-site, and able to identify issues rather than simply tick boxes against drawings.The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Carrying out structural inspections across residential and commercial projectsReviewing structural drawings before attending siteInspecting reinforcement, footings, slabs, structural framing and other structural elementsIdentifying construction issues and non-conformancesTaking explicit site photographs and maintaining proper inspection recordsCommunicating professionally with builders,



contractors and clientsDiscussing site issues with the senior structural engineer where requiredPreparing inspection reports and supporting documentationAssisting with structural calculations and design work when requiredWorking closely with our structural engineers and drafting teamAbout YouWe are looking for someone who has:Bachelor Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringApproximately 2-3 years of structural engineering experienceAustralian engineering or construction experience preferredGood understanding of structural drawings and construction detailingUnderstanding of relevant Australian Standards and construction practicesStrong attention to detailGood written and verbal communication skillsConfidence communicating with builders and contractorsAbility to manage several site inspections during the dayGood judgement and willingness to elevate an issue when unsureAustralian driver's licence and ability to travel to sites throughout SydneyMost importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, willing to learn, and takes ownership of their work.
