HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experiencedField Service Technicianto join our client's After Sales team.Our client is a leading provider of heavy equipment solutions, delivering sales, servicing, repairs, technical support and after-sales service across the construction, earthmoving and material processing industries.This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified technician who enjoys working in the field, solving mechanical and electrical faults, and building strong customer relationships while supporting machine uptime and performance.About the RoleAs a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing timely responses and solutions to customer issues on equipment in the field.
You may also be required to work on construction equipment and support workshop operations as directed.Location:Newcastle, NSWYou will play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction through repairs, servicing, fault diagnostics and technical support, helping customers maximise machine uptime and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to customer breakdowns and service calls in the fieldCarry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on customer equipmentDiagnose customer issues both onsite and over the phoneProvide technical support and fault-finding assistanceComplete accurate service reports and documentationProvide photos and supporting documentation for warranty claimsMaintain positive customer relationships and deliver high levels of customer serviceSupport workshop staff and workshop operations when requiredMaintain a professional personal and vehicle presentationAdhere to company policies, procedures and safety requirements at all timesAbout YouA relevant trade qualificationA minimum of 2 years' post-trade experience within the earthmoving, construction equipment or related industriesStrong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systemsExperience with fault diagnostics and diagnostic softwareExcellent communication and customer service skillsStrong problem-solving, organisational and time management abilitiesThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA safety-first approach and knowledge of relevant WHS/OH&S; requirementsAn MR or HR Truck LicenceExperience with crushing, screening or earthmoving equipment will be highly regardedBenefitsThis is an outstanding chance to join a reputable organisation offering a varied and hands-on field service role.
