Are you an experienced Purchasing Officer with a background in mining or heavy industry?
Our team is growing and we're looking for a proactive and detail-driven qualified to manage end-to-end purchasing of mining parts, services, and consumables across multiple mine sites throughout Australia.This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where your ability to source efficiently, expedite effectively, and keep operations moving will directly support site performance.About the RoleYou will be responsible for the full procure-to-pay process, ensuring critical parts and services are sourced, ordered, and delivered to site on time.
Working closely with vendors, freight providers, and internal stakeholders, you'll play a key role in maintaining operational continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesSource parts and services in line with company policy and preferred suppliersGenerate purchase orders and manage follow-upsProactively manage vendor purchase orders,
including back orders and overdue itemsExpedite parts to ensure on-time delivery to siteBook couriers and freight providers to meet delivery deadlinesPerform regular expediting and dispatch follow-upsCoordinate and resolve invoice queries with internal teamsAbout YouMinimum 3+ years' experience in a purchasing roleExperience purchasing mining, mechanical, or heavy equipment parts (highly regarded)Experience using large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, JDE)Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasksWhy Join Us?
