This is a full-time position based in Lytton, QLD ****.
As a Heavy Road Transport Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and diesel engines, ensuring our clients' fleets operate safely and efficiently.
This position is integral to our service delivery, combining technical expertise with customer-focused problem-solving across multiple locations and sites.Key responsibilitiesDiagnose, service, and repair heavy vehicles, including trucks, buses and associated diesel engine systemsPerform preventative maintenance schedules and inspections on heavy road transport vehiclesConduct roadside repairs and breakdowns, responding to call-outs and providing field-based mechanical supportUtilise diagnostic equipment and tools to identify mechanical faults and implement effective solutionsMaintain detailed service records and documentation for all work completed on vehiclesCollaborate with workshop team members and field technicians to ensure efficient service deliveryAdhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, including those specific to heavy vehicle maintenanceProvide technical advice and guidance to clients regarding vehicle maintenance and repairsSource and manage parts and materials required for repairs and maintenanceWhat we're looking forA recognised Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic qualificationProven experience working on heavy road transport vehicles, diesel engines,
