Community Registered Nurse - South SydneyOptimum Health Solutions – Croydon Park NSWOptimum Health Solutions is a multidisciplinary allied health provider with clinics across NSW and Tasmania, covering Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Podiatry and Behaviour Support.
We're growing our community nursing team to support NDIS participants across Sydney's south and inner west, anchored around our Sylvania and Croydon Park clinics.We're looking for a Registered Nurse who's comfortable working independently in the community, and who brings both clinical skill and a genuine, easy manner with participants and their families.About the roleThis is a part-time position to start and real opportunity to move into full time as your caseload grows.
You'll be visiting NDIS participants in their homes and communities across the south and inner west, managing your own diary and travel.Day to day, you might be doing any of the following:Wound care and pressure injury managementCatheter insertion and management (IDC/SPC)PEG feeding and enteral nutrition supportMedication administrationContinence assessment and product recommendationsBuilding real relationships with participants over repeat visits, not just one-off appointmentsWhat you'll needCurrent AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), no conditions or undertakingsMinimum 3 years post-graduate nursing experienceNDIS Worker Screening Check clearance,
or willing to obtainNational Police Check, or willing to obtainWorking with Children Check (NSW), or willing to obtainNDIS Worker Orientation Module completed before you startCurrent CPR (HLTAID009) and First Aid (HLTAID011)Unrestricted Australian driver's licence, your own reliable vehicle, comprehensive insuranceRight to work in AustraliaWilling to travel across the regionGood to have, not essentialCommunity nursing experienceConfidence across wound care and pressure injury management, catheter insertion and management (IDC/SPC), PEG feeding and enteral nutrition, and medication administrationVenepuncture and cannulationCompression bandaging and negative pressure wound therapyContinence assessment and product prescriptionWorking knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards and Aged Care Quality StandardsConfidence working autonomously as a lone worker, in the community or in clinicThe cherry on topPost-graduate qualification (or equivalent) in wound care, Wound CNCStomal Therapy Nurse (STN)Why OptimumThis role starts part time, with genuine prospect to grow into full time as your caseload builds.
You'll manage your own diary and travel, with a multidisciplinary team behind you, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Podiatry and Behaviour Support, ready to loop in whenever a participant needs more than nursing care.
