In this role, you will be responsible for the protected and efficient manufacture and assembly of hazardous area electrical products in accordance with work order instructions, quality standards, and customer requirements.Based in Canning Vale, WA, this role is focused on workshop-based manufacturing activities, including operating waterjet cutting equipment and supporting general production processes.You will be supported by an experienced team who will provide training and mentoring in our IECEx-certified manufacturing processes, so prior experience in hazardous areas is not required.About the role:As a Workshop Technician, you will perform hands-on manufacturing tasks while meeting strict quality and safety standards.Machining, assembling and wiring custom electrical enclosures (junction boxes, control stations and control panels)Reading and interpreting work instructions, technical drawings and wiring schematicsPerforming assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, machining, wiring and component installationOperating workshop equipment including waterjet cutter, drill press, hydraulic punch, milling machine,
grinder and hand toolsPreparing work areas and verifying parts against Bills of Materials before starting workPlanning tasks efficiently and collaborating with team members to meet production deadlinesEscalating any issues, concerns, or BOM discrepancies promptlyCompleting work orders within allocated timeframes while maintaining EX Engineering quality standardsConducting QA checks, recording work order details and completing required documentationFollowing ISO **** quality processes and workshop proceduresWorking safely in line with HSEQ policies, including PPE use and equipment pre-start checksMaintaining tools, equipment and a clean, organised work environmentDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout You:To be successful in this role, you will have:Experience or demonstrated competency in workshop manufacturing and assemblyA strong commitment to workplace health and safety practicesExperience using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machineryThe ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematicsGood time management skills with the ability to meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanshipPhysical capability to perform manual handling and workshop tasksIn addition,
