Minos Structural Engineering – Thomastown VICAbout the RoleThis is a workshop-based role offering consistent hours and plenty of overtime and ongoing work for the right candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate structural steel components from shop drawingsOperate overhead crane and hoists for lifting materialsPerform high-quality MIG weldingAssemble fabricated components to specificationMeasure, mark out and prepare materialsConduct quality inspections throughout fabricationOperate workshop machinery and equipment safelyMaintain a clean and organised work areaWork closely with the production team to meet project deadlinesSkills & ExperienceStrong fabrication and MIG welding experienceAbility to read and interpret shop drawingsExperience working with structural steel or heavy fabricationExcellent attention to detailStrong commitment to workplace safetyReliable with a positive attitude and robust work ethicPersonal RequirementsEnjoy technical activitiesPhysically fitStrength to handle materials, tools and machinesGood hand-eye coordinationAble to work in a teamAble to work independentlyAccuracySafety consciousRequirementsMinimum 5 years experience in Structural Steel Fabrication.
