What is our Clinical
Nurse (Vascular Access) role?
This posiition, under the
direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s), practises as
a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and
Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice
Decision Making Flowchart; provides advanced, comprehensive and
evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a
multidisciplinary team; upholds and functions within the core
values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork &
Integrity; acts as a role model, providing leadership, support,
team building and change management through respect, recognition
and collaboration.
Suitable applicants will be
required to work across a 7 day service that includes am and pm
shifts.
Suitable applicant will also
have recent experience (within the last 2 years) within an
Intravascular Therapy or similar setting that supports the
following skills:
Peripherally inserted
central catheters (PICC)
Midline
& ultrasound guided cannula insertion
Accessing of
Infusaports
Central
Venous Access Device (CVAD) trouble shooting
