KEMA Care Pty Ltd' is seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in Northern Suburbs, VIC.
In this casual role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals with disabilities and eldery people helping them to achieve their personal goals and live independently within the community.
With a focus on providing high-quality, person-centred care, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients.What you'll be doingAssisting clients with daily living activitiesHoist and other manual hadlingEngaging clients in social, recreational, and educational activities to promote their wellbeing and community participationProviding emotional and behavioural support, and helping clients develop essential life skillsCollaborating with the client's support network, including families, carers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to careMaintaining detailed records and documentation to track client progress and support needsAdhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients and staffWhat we're looking forExperience providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of disabilities, including physical, intellectual, and/or mental health challengesApplicants should have experience supporting individuals with any combination of physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities,
and mental health challengesMinimum 2 years of experience in disability support services is requiredStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, families, and the broader support networkA compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach, with a genuine interest in improving the lives of people with disabilitiesThe ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, while adhering to organisational policies and proceduresA current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check are both requiredValid Australian work visa or work rights are required for this positionWhat we offerAt KEMA Care, we are committed to supporting our employees and providing a rewarding work setting.
