Community Transport Services Tasmania (CTST) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping Tasmanians remain independent, connected and supported within their communities.
Through our Home Services program, we assist older Tasmanians to live safely and comfortably in their homes through the delivery of home maintenance, domestic assistance and related support services.
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on
Home Services Team Leader
to lead our Home Services team and ensure the delivery of high-quality, responsive and customer-focused services across Northern Tasmania.
This is an exciting opportunity for a practical leader who enjoys balancing people leadership, operational coordination and hands-on problem solving.
About the Role
Reporting to the Executive Manager Service Delivery, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team delivering home maintenance and domestic assistance services to older Tasmanians.
You will oversee daily operations, coordinate resources, support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Importantly, this is not a desk-bound management role.
While you will provide leadership and oversight, you will also be comfortable getting out into the field, supporting your team and helping to resolve operational challenges when required.
About You
You are someone who combines practical experience with strong leadership capability.
You may have come from a trade, building maintenance, facilities management, property maintenance, home care or similar service environment.
Most importantly,
you understand how to coordinate people, manage workloads and deliver quality services for customers.
You will bring:
Experience leading or supervising teams in a service delivery environment
Strong practical knowledge of home maintenance, repairs, facilities, property services or a similar field
Sound judgement and a common-sense approach to problem solving
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A commitment to customer service and positive outcomes
Strong organisational and planning capabilities
Confidence using technology, systems and Microsoft Office
A focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement
A trade qualification or demonstrated experience in building maintenance, home maintenance, handyperson services or a related field will be highly regarded, but we welcome applications from candidates with equivalent practical and leadership experience.
