Full-time opportunity based in AbbotsfordSalary packaging, gifted leave at Christmas and EasterCompetitive above-award salary, SCHADS Level 4 + superAbout the RoleThe Heritage Operations Officer plays a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the organisation.Working closely with the General Manager Mission and Culture, you will coordinate venue bookings, support events, manage enquiries and contribute to the smooth operation of these unique heritage spaces.
From weddings, baptisms and funerals through to community gatherings, concerts and faith celebrations, you will help deliver welcoming, professional and memorable experiences for visitors, hirers and stakeholders.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing administration, event coordination and stakeholder engagement while contributing to the preservation and promotion of the company's rich heritage and mission.This role is based in Abbotsford and may require occasional after-hours work to support events and venue operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate end-to-end venue bookings and event support.Provide logistical support for faith celebrations, community gatherings, concerts, weddings, baptisms and other heritage venue activitiesAct as a key contact for venue hirers, event coordinators, contractors and community stakeholdersManage venue enquiries, bookings, scheduling and administrative processesCoordinate promotional activities and communications relating to venue hire, heritage spaces and eventsSupport procurement of venue supplies and resources required for events and Chapel operationsCollaborate with members of the Heritage Team to promote awareness of the history, mission and legacy of the organisationPrepare reports and maintain records relating to venue usage, bookings and operational activitiesSupport budget monitoring, accounts processing and venue-related financial administrationAssist with facility maintenance coordination, safety audits and compliance activitiesContribute to the review and maintenance of operational procedures, manuals and venue guidelinesAbout YouExperience in venue operations, event coordination, administration or a related fieldRelevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in event management, venue coordination,
