The role provides secure, reliable and inclusive transport to events, outings, appointments and regular programs, and is responsible for end-to-end coordination of the transport program (enquiries, bookings, scheduling and customer service).
The position requires use of community transport vehicles - I Minibus (15 seats + wheelchair access with ramp) and 2 x 9-seater vansContract: Initial 4-month contract with strong potential to extend.FTE: 0.8 FTE (part-time).
Availability: Flexibility to work between 8:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday as required.Key responsibilitiesCoordinate all community transport enquiries,
bookings and schedulingTransport passengers using community vehicles and provide support from pick-up through to drop-offAssist passengers with mobility needs; safe manual handling for wheelchairs, walkers and scootersMaintain vehicles (cleanliness/presentation) and refuel as requiredTreat all participants, families and stakeholders respectfully; support inclusivity across cultures, religions and beliefsWork autonomously and apply problem-solving during service deliveryLiaise with program staff to support coordinated service delivery and assist with additional duties as requiredAbout you (essential)Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration (additional evidence may be required if lived overseas since age 16)Current unrestricted LR licence (15-seat community bus) + licence history search demonstrating an excellent record in the past 3 yearsStrong customer service and commitment to supporting vulnerable peopleSafe work practices and proven manual handling techniquesTech confidence: Outlook + ability to use systems for timesheets, documentation and booking systemsCurrent First Aid certificate or willingness to obtainLocal Canberra knowledge and ability to plan alternate driving routes
