Le Pub & Bottle Shop | Casual & Full-Time OpportunitiesLe Pub & Bottle Shop in the heart of Melbourne's CBD is looking for a passionate wine professional to join our team.Combining a wine retail store with a vibrant bar, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves food, wine and hospitality and wants to share that passion with our guests.We're looking for someone with 2–3 years of experience working with wine in a retail, winery cellar door or hospitality workplace, who is ready to grow their knowledge and take the next step in their wine career.About the RoleWhile the role has a strong wine retail focus, hospitality experience is preferred, as you'll also be required to assist with food service and beverage service within Le Pub.You'll be involved across our retail and hospitality operations, including:Advising retail and dine-in customers on wine, spirits and beerSelling and serving guests, including wine pouring and food serviceMerchandising and maintaining our wine wall and display fridgesSupporting the Retail Sales Manager and Principal Wine BuyerProcessing and fulfilling customer retail ordersWorking with the cellar team on receiving,



storage and stock allocationAssisting with stocktakesBriefing staff on wine products and list changesCoordinating deliveries and booking couriersAttending supplier and trade tastingsContributing to the ongoing development of our wine offeringWe're looking for someone who has:Extensive knowledge and experience with local and European winesHold a WSET 3 or CMS certification (preferred but not essential)Strong sales and customer service skillsLeadership qualities, including the ability to mentor colleaguesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organisational skills and the ability to multitaskThe ability to remain calm, focused and composed during busy periodsBe physically fit to safely perform manual lifting of stock such as beer, sprits & wine boxes up & down stairs between cellarsExperience working with Bepoz and Lightyear (a bonus) and MS Office SuiteFlexibility to work across a 7-day rosterWhat We OfferThis role is ideal for someone looking to further develop their wine knowledge and build a rewarding career in the industry.You'll have the opportunity to:Work with an extensive wine wall and reserve cellar featuring wines from great regions around the worldContribute to our by-the-glass and bottle wine listsCollaborate with the Retail Manager on wine, beer and spirit purchasingGet involved in stock management, forecasting and supplier relationshipsParticipate in tastings and strategic business planningAccess ongoing internal and external training and developmentVisit local producers and attend trade tastings, workshops and sessions with visiting international winemakersStaff discounts on wine to support your own wine journey
