The RoleAn exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a well-established Australian business operating across a complex, multi-entity setting.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being more than just the "numbers person" - you'll have genuine influence across the wider business, with the opportunity to improve processes, strengthen controls, develop the team and work closely with the CFO on key financial and commercial matters.Lead the Group's financial control, corporate accounting, consolidation, transactional finance, treasury, taxation and external reporting functionsOwn the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting process across a complex multi-entity GroupLead the Group consolidation process and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and Group policiesMaintain and strengthen the Group's financial control framework, including balance sheet reconciliations, accounting policies, approval controls and segregation of dutiesLead the annual external audit process, managing auditors, advisers and key deliverables through to completionOversee AP, AR and transactional finance operations, ensuring strong processes, controls and service levelsDevelop and maintain Group cash flow forecasts and working capital analysis,



with a focus on liquidity, debtor performance and cash commitmentsOversee the Group's Australian tax compliance, including income tax, GST, FBT and transfer pricingSupport the CFO with treasury, funding, banking and cash management mattersPrepare and review reporting for the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and Executive Leadership TeamPartner with senior stakeholders and business unit finance teams to provide insight and support decision makingDrive continuous improvement across finance systems, reporting processes, controls and transactional workflowsThe CandidateStrong experience as a Group Financial Controller/Finance Manager within a complex multi-entity environmentStrong technical accounting, consolidation and external reporting experienceProven experience managing external audits and relationships with advisersStrong ERP experience, ideally SAPStrong knowledge of Australian taxation, including GST, FBT, income tax and transfer pricingA proven track record of improving finance processes, systems and controlsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to confidently present financial information and recommendations to senior leadership
