Pyramid Residential Care Centre – Gordonvale QLDPyramid Residential Care Centre is a community-based not-for-profit aged care organisation dedicated to providing safe, high-quality and person-centred care to older Australians.Located in the beautiful township of Gordonvale, our 88-bed residential facility offers a welcoming, homelike environment surrounded by landscaped gardens and open spaces.
We pride ourselves on delivering compassionate care, supporting resident choice and dignity, and fostering a positive workplace culture where our people are valued and supported.We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our clinical team on a Permanent Part Time Basis.Infection Prevention and Control Experience Highly RegardedPyramid Residential Care Centre is particularly interested in hearing from Registered Nurses with experience in Infection Prevention and Control.
As part of our commitment to resident safety and clinical excellence, this experience will be highly valued in supporting infection surveillance, outbreak management, staff education, auditing activities and the implementation of evidence-based infection control practices.
Candidates with a strong understanding of infection prevention principles, transmission-based precautions, antimicrobial stewardship and compliance with aged care infection control requirements will be well positioned to contribute to the ongoing safety and wellbeing of our residents, visitors and staff.

Experience in leading infection control initiatives within an aged care, hospital or healthcare environment will be viewed favourably.About the RoleAs a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based clinical care while supporting residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life.Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and guidance to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers, ensuring care is delivered safely, respectfully and in accordance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.Key responsibilities include:Assessing, planning,
implementing and evaluating resident careMonitoring and responding to changes in resident health and wellbeingSupporting protected medication management practicesDeveloping and reviewing resident care plansMaintaining accurate and timely clinical documentationProviding leadership, mentoring and support to care staffWorking collaboratively with residents, families, allied health professionals and medical practitionersContributing to quality improvement and clinical governance activitiesSupporting a culture of safety, respect and continuous improvementAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered NurseBachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualificationStrong clinical assessment and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to person-centred care and resident dignityThe ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamStrong organisational and time management skillsA commitment to professional accountability and continuous learningEssential RequirementsCurrent AHPRA RegistrationCurrent National Police CertificateCurrent Influenza VaccinationCurrent COVID-19 Vaccination requirements as directed by the Department of Health and Aged CareAbility to complete mandatory training requirementsCommitment to workplace health and safety practicesAbility to comply with organisational policies, procedures and legislative requirementsDesirablePrevious experience in residential aged careExperience within a clinical leadership roleKnowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality StandardsExperience participating in quality improvement activitiesStrong understanding of clinical governance principlesWhy Join Pyramid Residential Care Centre?
